The folks over at DebtLimitUSA are good at making complex issues understandable.
Apparently America is a nation of blithering idiots. via Jimmy Kimmel
The 1,000+ page Hoeven-Corker Immigration Amendment sounds great — except for one flaw: None of the border policies will ever by enforced. The certification of a secure border will be an arbitrary assessment. Coupled with the fact that the Obama administration doesn’t enforce current laws (there is no reason to believe it will enforce new laws), this is a $38 billion boondoggle. Why does the GOP constantly fall for the Democrat promises of “do this now” and “we’ll do the right thing later?” The Democrats have NEVER come through with the last half of any bargain.

Mr. Guillory explains quite succinctly why we all should be conservatives. Thank you, sir!
Louisiana Senator Elbert Guillory (R-Opelousas) explains why he recently switched from the Democrat Party to the Republican Party. He discusses the history of the Republican Party, founded as an Abolitionist Movement in 1854. Guillory talks about how the welfare state is only a mechanism for politicians to control the black community.
More comment on Mr. Guillory to come. More about him on his official website here.
Compare the speeches of Ronald Reagan to Barack Obama. What an extraordinary difference.
A life-long Democrat, in this speech Reagan explains why he had joined the Republican party. His reasons resonate even today; unfortunately over the last 50 years, the GOP has drifted towards Democrat policies, enabling the incremental encroachment into our freedoms and security.
The Reagan Foundation has a great collection of videos here.
9deuel did a great job putting this video together.
